Test Setup

We've updated our test gear in a few key areas. We now use 32GB 3,000MHz Corsair Vengeance LED RAM and a Zotac GeForce GTX 1080 8GB Amp! Edition for all new CPU testing, and as we're also introducing some new tests, some of our benchmark results that draw upon the graphics card are a little thin. We've included numbers for AMD's Ryzen 7 1800X plus Intel's current and previous 10-core CPUs. In other tests we've included more results (where the GPU is irrelevant), but we'll be adding to the new tests as time goes by.
